Introduction to Tweed’s SDK

Introduction to Tweed’s SDK

Feb 22, 2023

The Tweed SDK transforms any Web2 platform to a fully functional Web3 environment. Our solution enables platforms to seamlessly create self-custodial wallets for users in the background as a user logs in, interacts with a game, or purchases an NFT.

Our SDK is a three layer solution:

  1. Self-Custodial Key Management

  2. Comprehensive and Customizable Wallet Features

  3. “2.5" Bridging Payment Solutions

Key Management:

Our SDK balances user experience and the independence of the platform while maintaining a secure and compliant user ownership framework. The private key created for each user is sharded and encrypted using secrets held only by the user. The user does not need to know or remember a 12-word seed phrase in order to restore their wallet; instead they can use simple login methods to access their wallet and switch devices. Decryption of the key happens only locally on the user’s device, so neither Tweed nor the platform can ever access the user’s assets or block the user’s access to their funds.

Tweed’s architecture is built as a true self-custodial solution, and passes regular legal audits to ensure your platform can offload the regulatory burden and offer a fully compliant Web3 experience. Platforms can support cryptocurrency, native tokens, or NFTs without the need for a custody license.

Comprehensive Wallet features:

The Tweed SDK now supports JS, React, NextJS, Vue and ReactNative and is live on Ethereum, Polygon, and Tezos, with many more chains coming soon.

All features on the Tweed wallet SDK can be enabled or disabled based on a platform’s use case and need. Our solution is fully white-label, so the platform can customize the UI to fit their desired user experience.

The wallet features includes all of the basic functionality including display assets and transactions, send and receive coins and NFTs, and view your public address. Advanced users can export their seed phrase, though this is not necessary for logging in to their wallet. The wallet can support both open gardens and closed environments, and is compatible with WalletConnect.

2.5 Payment Infrastructure:

Layering payment features on top of the wallet is key for a completely frictionless flow for users. Tweed’s SDK currently supports one-click NFT purchases with credit/debit cards directly into the user’s wallet. Our functionality easily integrates into your Smart Contract and automatically mints and transfers the NFT after purchase.

Additionally, Tweed today supports a white-label integration for Fiat to Crypto payouts at scale — enabling marketplaces and companies to compliantly pay out their users with crypto without having any crypto touchpoints or exposure.

Tweed is working to expand its white-label payments offering with onramp, offramp and swapping solutions still in beta.

Our infrastructure supports flexible use cases and integration styles, with the idea that every company can pick and choose between the different features according to their unique needs and user journey. With integration as simple as a few developer hours, companies can start offering advanced Web3 experiences while maintaining their brand and appealing to a large audience.
