Tweed’s Unity SDK Bridge

Tweed’s Unity SDK Bridge

Jun 22, 2023

As the gaming industry — across categories — continues to grow, so does the number of games created with Unity. According to Unity’s 2022 gaming report, there were more than 230,000 developers and 750,000 applications using the Unity Platform. At the same time, blockchain gaming is predicted to grow from a ~$750M addressable market in 2018, to $104.5B by 2028.

Tweed is committed to providing best-in-class products to Web3 games to help them onboard, retain, and monetize Web2 users.

This is why we are excited to present the first full Unity WebGL Bridge with complete support of the Tweed SDK. Our bridge is responsible for the communication between the unity game and the browser (where Tweed’s SDK lives), it allows the game developers to:

  1. Use the same integration for the platform itself (for ex. to show the user’s balance) and the game (for ex. to allow in-game purchases)

  2. Have the same flexibility of a JS SDK in a Unity environment

  3. Have a standard web UI for the Unity game

With the Unity Bridge, developers can embed the blockchain and Web3 functionalities found in Tweed’s SDK within their Unity game environment. Through a simple integration process players can:

  • Create an in-game crypto wallet

  • Send and receive tokens and NFTs

  • Purchase NFTs using their card

  • View their transaction history

  • Play in a multichain environment (EVM and non-EVM)

  • Interact with smart contracts and much more…

View the github integration repo and follow for updates on functionality added to the Unity SDK.
